Because she didn't kill her. She merely choked her a little to render her unconscious, and tied her up afterwards (you can verify this by checking the choke scene and the flower scene). It was a misTL that may have caused a plot break if we had left it in.
Also, Funi confirmed it, as they had the exact same line. Either that or they ripped ours. Who knows.
